It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our wonderful stallion, Alexander. He was a stallion that was full of life, kindness and character that he passed on to each and every foal. His legacy will now live on through his children and grand children. He will forever live in my heart and always be a part of my soul.
Rest Well My Friend…. Until We Meet Again.
Somewhere in time’s own space
There must be some sweet pastured place
Where creeks sing on and tall trees grow
Some paradise where horses go,
For by the love that guides my pen
I know great horses live again.

This is a tribute to the best horse and broodmare I ever owned!! Abby’s dam, Silent Promise – aka Scarlet, was the first horse I purchased in 1978 as a yearling. Abby was her only foal that I delivered in 1986. Abby had a full life showing at Devon as a yearling, going to hunter shows and producing lovely foals by Cabaret, Bonjour and Alexander. I never imagined that we would be together for 32 years! In the past few years, I would tell Abby how wonderful it was that we were growing old together. Although I am saddened not having her on the farm any longer, I feel truly blessed to have this very special mare in my life. I will miss her so very much.
The Best Horses in Heaven, They Have No Tail….. by Miska Paget
The best horses in Heaven, they have no tail.
This is a rule they all know without fail.
For when a new horse arrives with a short cut bob,
they all know that this horse did a very good job.
Her owner could not bear to part with her friend
so she saved her tail, wrapped in ribbons and in braids,
to hold with her memory in a very loving way.
To enter Heaven without a tail is an honor,
a message, that without fail, announces to everyone,
far and wide that this horse
was more than a wonderful ride.
But this horse was loved and cherished by one
and when her time serving on this Earth was done
she left behind a broken heart and a soul
from which she never will part.
